Congratulations!!!

I am looking forward your future impressions and recordings!

Personnally I was very surprised by the powerfull sound of mine; I have never before tried an alto, but tried a lot of fine classical guitars, and I was really not expecting that power from that little body combined with the inertia of that big neck and 11 strings.
Hello everyone,

from today I am a very happy owner of an alto 11string guitar-by Heikki Rousu.

The guitar is very beautiful, well constructed, with a powerful and balanced sound....a sound that opens up with every hour of playing.
I had a great luck to play in a 10string for the last 2 years,so I can make the transision to alto quite easily. I played a lot of Bach, Weiss,Pachelbel, Logy,Roman, and cherised the guitar very much.
Later I'll post my further impressions of the guitar and maybe some musi...

Bruma,
I have just checked the Werner Icking Music Archive(IMSLP), and there is a copy of the keyboard score for K 380 available for free download.

Bruma,
As will you know, Jean-Daniel Forget lists a number of arrangements for baroque lute of some Scarlatti sonatas, but they are for low Kirkpatrick numbers. If you have a score, it should be straightforward to make an arrangement for alto.

I wrote down a few observations from when I started out on the alto. Maybe you'll find it helpful in some way: Check out the "General questions about the alto and its use" thread....
