Delighted to see there are 8 strings over the fret board. All altos, standard in G or bass, need this. What is the scale length?
A very nice looking instrument.
James.

Hello Heikki,

very good looking instrument !

What are your first feeling about the instrument?
How much weight is spared versus a normal altoguitar ?

Congratulations,

Christophe

Hello James.
The scale length on the finger board is 570 mm and the lenght of string 11 is 785 mm. This is 25 mm longer than on my normal 570 mm alto guitar.
The 785 is about the same as on a 590 mm scaled alto guitar.
This 785 mm string give more tension than a shorter string.

Thanks. I am very happy about the instrument. Some people have already played on it. It is promising and I think this might be alternative for some alto guitar players.
Sorry I forgot the weight my lates normal altoguitar but it is signifikant lighter in weight. The most important different is what you feel in your right hand.
I am looking forward to here you and others play the guitar for me . One week from now I will travel tru sweden with the guitar. So if someone would like to play the guitar give me a mail.
